Astrean FAQs

What's so special about being built in Google Sheets?

Being on Google Sheets provides added security, because everything is saved on your own private Google account. Plus, it’s easily integrated with your other Google tools, if you want. And even Astrean will have no access to your journal data!

Do I need a Google account to use the Astrean e-journal?
Yes, but as most people know, it’s free and easy. If you have a GMAIL account, then you already have a Google account. If not, it only takes a few minute to setup your GMAIL account and get started.
How long does it take to setup my e-journal?
After setting up your Astrean account, it takes one click to create your copy of the Astrean notary e-journal on Google Sheets. Then just save that copy to your Google Drive, and you’re ready to go.
How do I setup my free directory listing & webpage?
From your Astrean account dashboard, there’s a link for the questionnaire to setup your directory listing and webpage. Note: this complimentary feature is still under development, but it will be launching shortly.
Does this meet my state requirements?
The Astrean electronic notary journal was created to be compliant with the notary record-keeping requirement of all states, territories and the District of Columbia. However, it is up to you to verify and validate that our e-journal does satisfy your state’s requirements.
Can I export or print my notary e-journal?
Yes, just like any spreadsheet or Googe Sheet file, you can export the data into various formats, including CSV and XLS.
